Chocolate Rotisserie Chicken

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced.
  2. Place your chicken onto a rotisserie spit and season it generously with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, garlic herb & salt and Italian herbs.
  3. Cut one onion into quarters and place it inside the chicken cavity.
  4. Place the chicken onto the rotisserie and cook it for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. 10 minutes before the chicken is cooked, start making the chocolate sauce. Place the brown sugar, Nutella and the other onion (chopped) into a saucepan over low heat.
  6. Cook the sauce, stirring frequently, until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce is smooth.
  7. When the chicken is cooked, brush it generously with the chocolate sauce.
  8. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before carving and serving. Enjoy!
